About Lesson
School children constitute the largest demographic of recorder players, primarily due to the accessibility of affordable plastic instruments. The prevalence of these instruments has made the recorder a popular choice for music education in schools. However, many of these school groups are led by instructors who are not proficient players themselves. Consequently, the collective sound produced by these groups often leaves a lasting impression, though not always a positive one. Unfortunately, a significant number of young players tend to abandon the recorder after their initial introduction to it.
